Felix is into collecting Pokémon cards. He can't read them yet, but he loves having and looking at them. He got Lucie to convert a photo album to hold cards and has been religiously re-sorting them each time he adds a new one. He just had the brilliant idea today that he could trade his duplicates for other kids' duplicates; we'll see if he actually goes through with it in his last week of school.
Milo's a brand slave. Everywhere we go he points out corporate logos: McDonald's Starbucks Apple. And movie ads! He constantly points out movie billboards and asks us, "Did you look at the review for Iron Man? Is it good for kids?". We've been going to more movies lately in part because he won't let us forget about the kid-friendly ones.
The other thing that Milo loves is pretend fighting. He can't get enough. While he's amazingly good at stepping away from a group of boys at school the moment it gets too rowdy, when he's at home he keeps asking Dean to sword fight. Dean's happy to oblige once a day or so. They strike up absurd martial arts poses and circle each other like territorial monkeys.
