For weeks Milo has been eagerly waiting to turn four years old. And finally it came! He was ready, too: he seems to have grown two or three inches just this summer.

And Dean turned 35. The family is now a combined 80 years old: 35 + 35 + 6 + 4.

The birthday party was a success. The adults mixed mojitos while the kids frenetically orbited the house. And the pinata was so carefully calibrated that it gave up life on the very last kid in line.
