Lucie completed her first civic duty as an American: she voted in the presidential election! Dean voted weeks earlier by mail. And what an election! All of Berkeley and beyond are still celebrating Barack Obama's win.
Less historic but much more personally gratifying, Felix is starting to read signs on the street. Today there was a particularly excited and proud moment where Felix realized he could read "Lost Cat" on a poster.
Even Milo's been able to read all the signs about various propositions that Berkeley voters were asked to decide on. What's more, they actually have opinions about some of them:
Milo: That says, "Yes on KK!"
Felix: I know Milo. Do you remember what KK is about? That's the one where all new bike lanes would have to be voted on.
Milo: Yeah, I like that one!
Felix: No, Milo. It's too much voting! The government should decide.
Milo: No, I want to vote!
