In the plane, we were in a "bassinet seat". I highly recommend it for anyone traveling with a baby: the bassinet is a comfortable place to nap, and it doubles as a playpen with a view (though Felix was mostly interested in walking through the aisles, and hanging out in the flight attendants area).

We were in France for a little over 3 weeks, but it felt like 3 months. We packed in so much action!
