We had a great week. This weekend was especially blissful -- the weather has been hot, the kid has been fun, and Lucie's laryngitis has made her voice a sexy growl.

Dean sold his motorcycle. Almost every single person says they're sorry to hear that. Many ask how he's coping with the tragic loss. Dean would like to set the record straight that 1) he sold it because he doesn't use it to commute anymore, and 2) his masculinity is doing just fine without it, thank you.

New words:

• lala: Teletubbies, or TV in general. Lala is one of the Teletubbies. When he wants to watch TV, he points to it and says "lala".
• a-ture: voiture (French for car). He hasn't said it unpromted yet, but he has repeated it after us on several occasions.
• nana: banana. He's only said it once, but we are confident this one will be a keeper, since banana is his favorite food.
