We've been meaning to comment on how international New School is. Just in Milo's class of 12 kids, the languages spoken at home include French, German, Italian, Polish, Swedish and Spanish. Some parents even speak English.

The other day, scientist Felix said, "I have a plan for how babies grow inside their mom's belly. I am going to tell you my plan, and you tell me if I am right. I think the food the mom eats falls into the belly where the baby is, and the baby eats it. Is that a good plan?". It's cool to see Felix coming up with theories and understanding that they are just theories, and that he needs to verify them. We explained to him the finer details of digestion, blood circulation and fetal growth.

This Sunday there was a big bianca picnic in Tilden Park. It was great to see so many old friends. We've known each other for about 10 years now. Most of us don't go to Burning Man anymore, or throw giant parties. Some of us have kids. Relationships have ended and started. Careers have changed. People moved, bought houses. We are all looking like grown ups. Time is flowing by.
